Victoria Homes IOSH Managing Safely for Construction Managers
Construction Safety and the welfare of employees and the public alike is of paramount importance in the modern construction industry. Safety week places a renewed focus on this aspect of our industry and this year it fell from October 23rd – 27th, this week reinforces messages that should be prevalent all year and helps raise awareness of expected safety procedures within the Industry. In our ongoing commitment to safety at Victoria Homes and following on from Safety Week we had two more members of the team complete the IOSH Managing Safely For Construction Managers in the Workplace course. Derek Byrne and Adrienne Walker successfully completed the 4 Day course which was given by the Ayrton Group in Tallaght, IOSH is the biggest health and safety organisation in the world with more than 40,000 members in 85 countries. The modules covered several aspects of construction safety and outline the key requirements of the Construction Regulations 2013, including recognising hazards and risk assessments, incident investigation and reporting and the role of continued auditing to maintain the expected standards on site. We would like to thank the Ayrton Group who are also our Safety Advisors for Victoria Homes for running this excellent course.
